The Mercer University Colorguard is comprised of hard-working and talented individuals who come from a variety of different skill levels! We have members who have performed throughout their high school careers, some who have marched with different DCI bands, and even some members who have never spun at all!

What Do We Do?

Our members incorporate dance, flag, and rifle into all routines, and this year, for the first time ever, we are excited to welcome Majorettes into our visual ensemble! Our goal is to provide a fun and entertaining performance for audiences throughout the Game Day festivities!

What is the time commitment?

We offer Colorguard as part of the Marching Band from August to November, and then Basketball Guard from November to March.

Football Colorguard practices with the Marching band on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm (and some Fridays).

Basketball Guard includes a halftime performance feature, independent of the band, while also performing and dancing to the tunes of the Pep Band. Basketball Guard practices one night a week for two hours, and on the mornings of performances.
